Free Footy Tips Supports Responsible Gambling Week

November 7th to November 13th is Responsible Gambling Week and here at Free Footy Tips we're proud to support it.

What is Responsible Gambling?

Gambling is a form of entertainment that you pay for. This means that you are handing over money for something which should be fun, and which will last for a finite length of time – like buying a cinema ticket.

The difference between gambling and any other form of entertainment is that you are playing games of chance for money. Now this could mean that you walk away with more money than you started with, or some other kind of prize – which is great.

But if you start with that as a goal, you will likely be disappointed time and again. If you were assured of a prize every time, you wouldn't be gambling, you'd simply be purchasing a product or service. Chance is what makes gambling fun, but it is also what makes it a risk.

When we talk about responsible gambling we're talking about being able to gamble without putting yourself or others at risk of harm. Part of gambling more safely and responsibly is understanding the odds of the game you are playing, what the rules are, and accepting that losing is just as much a part of gambling as winning.

To help you manage your gambling here are some safety tips and warning signs you should be aware of.

It's easy to get carried away and there is a wealth of information & support out there should you need it.

For more information, please visit https://responsiblegamblinguk.org/ or call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, which is available for free 24 hours a day, every day.

Huddersfield Town announce Paddy Power new kit

Huddersfield Town and Paddy Power certainly made a splash, or should that be sash, with their new kit for the 2019/20 season!

The Terriers who were relegated from the Premier League last season, announced Paddy Power as their new kit sponsor for their new season in the Championship and the style has left some people wondering whether it's actually real.

As well as the diagonal sash, Huddersfield Town’s new crest for the 2019/20 season is also on the move, switching to a position right in the centre of the shirt in a woven badge, complimented with an embroidered Umbro logo.

The club’s commercial director Sean Jarvis explained: “We’ve gone for a really modern twist on how we feature the famous Paddy Power logo.

“Paddy Power is a very forward-thinking, innovative company – that’s one of the main reasons that we’re so excited to work with them – the new ‘sash’ style logo is really eye-catching and helps maintain our reputation as being innovators too.”

Paddy Power are renowned for their pranks so we'll wait and see if this is the real thing at Wednesday evening’s pre-season match at Rochdale.

Pick 6 Weekend Roundup

Pick 6 selections are coming in nicely and there's still time to get your selections in for it if you're VIP.

The six games that are featured this weekend's Pick 6 are as follows:

  • Bournemouth v Spurs
  • West Ham v Southampton
  • Wolves v Fulham
  • Cardiff v Crystal Palace
  • Newcastle v Liverpool
  • Chelsea v Watford (Sunday)

My selections are in and just on the result alone, it's a tasty 211/1!

Not a lot of love for Bournemouth in the early game, with pretty much every selection on a 2-1 win for Spurs. Next up is the West Ham v Southampton game and is a bit of a mixed bag of predictions, but it's a West Ham win that stands out.

Fulham will be enjoying Championship football next season and a Wolves win here is pretty much the banker from the Pick 6 predictions.

Cardiff could be joining Fulham if they don't pull their finger out and everything is pointing towards a 2-1 win for Palace.

In the late game, a Liverpool win looks a certainty and both 2-1 and 3-1 to Liverpool look the most favoured scorelines.

Onto Sunday and I've picked out the Chelsea v Watford game for the sixth and final game to choose your selections. All but one person has selected a Chelsea win here today and a 2-1 win is favoured by over 40% of you.

Good luck if you've entered the Pick 6 comp and remember, backing all the correct results is a nice 211/1 and if you back all the correct scores I've chosen it's a massive 772,199/1 at bet365!

Pick 6 is free for all VIP Members. Not a VIP? Find out more on how to join be part of the Pick 6 fun and be in with a chance of winning this week's £25 prize!

Pick 6 Leaderboard – Week 36

It was another 14 pointer this weekend on the Pick 6 with Paul G grabbing 14 points with 2 correct scores and 2 correct results – well done!

Paul's predictions of 1-0 Fulham v Cardiff and 2-1 to Wolves at Watford earnt him 10 points and another 4 points with a draw at Palace v Everton and a win for Newcastle at Brighton.
