Italy displayed their tournament credentials with a convincing 3-0 success over Turkey on the opening evening. It may have taken them over 50 minutes to break down the opposition, however, they always looked in control and created a couple of decent chances in the first half.
Although this is likely to be tougher for the Azzurri, they will still be expected to collect three points and stroll towards the round of 16. With Ciro Immobile off the mark and the likes of Lorenzo Insigne and Jorginho catching the eye, they have plenty of talent within their squad.
There were also a number of players who came off the bench with less than 10 minutes to spare, and they could play a bigger part in this contest.
Switzerland picked up a point against Wales and looked sharp going forward. Vladimir Petkovic’s side did exactly what was expected, although they will be disappointed that they didn’t collect maximum points.
They are likely to come up short here, however, they should play their part in a very entertaining game.
