Very few people expected North Macedonia to qualify for Euro 2020, and although it is looking increasingly likely that they will exit the competition without picking a point, they can hold their heads up high.
They have battled and remained competitive throughout the majority of their short stay, and they are also likely to give the Netherlands a few scares on Sunday. Goran Pandev has been excellent and with international retirement beckoning, he will want to end on a high note.
The Netherlands have joined Italy and Belgium in the next round of the competition and aside from the momentary defensive wobble against Ukraine, they’ve looked fairly accomplished and assured. They looked very comfortable against Austria on Thursday night and although Frank de Boer may be tempted to make a couple of changes here, they should still have enough to win this.
Their opponents have looked a little clumsy at the back and are always liable to give away free-kicks and penalties. Memphis Depay could be the man to capitalise on this.
