Sweden’s reward for finishing top of Group E is a round of 16 tie with Ukraine and they will feel that they have been given an extremely winnable fixture. Janne Andersson’s side have been extremely tough to beat, and their never-say-die attitude was evident against Poland.
Despite some uncharacteristically shambolic defending, they still managed to find a way back into the game and Viktor Claesson’s late strike was enough to send them to the summit. They were second best for large periods, however, they keep finding a way to pick up results and that bodes well for this fixture. Most of their creativity will come through the excellent Emil Forsberg, who has scored a goal every 83 minutes at the tournament so far and with average of 2.7 shots per game, he is likely to test the Ukraine defence.

Andriy Shevchenko’s side were worryingly passive against Austria in their final Group C contest, however, they’ve snuck through at the expense of Finland and they will be looking to take advantage of their good fortune. They have attacking talent in their squad, however, they are likely to come up short here.
