Switzerland are part of the furniture when it comes to major tournaments and they have only failed to qualify for one event since 2004. Vladimir Petkovic’s side will be fairly familiar to when we last saw them three years ago and they will be equally efficient.

They reached the round of 16 in each of the last two World Cups and also at Euro 2016 and they should be able to start by collecting three points on Saturday afternoon. The Swiss squad topped their qualifying group and they are a bunch of players who are extremely familiar with one another.

Wales enjoyed a terrific Euro 2016, however, this current squad/manager doesn’t have the same level of unpredictability and a number of players come off the back of semi-underwhelming seasons.
Rob Page’s men are extremely reliant on Gareth Bale and if Switzerland can mark him out of the game, they shouldn’t have too many problems.

The Swiss have a hectic travel schedule ahead of them, so this is a game that they simply must win.
