South Korea v Portugal = Portugal to WIN
Portugal are already through to the round of 16 and although Fernando Santos’ side may be tempted to take their foot off the gas, they will be keen to finish top of Group H and avoid a potential round of 16 meeting with Brazil. Bruno Fernandes has been one of the standout players of the tournament and he will be keen to add to his two goals and two assists. South Korea have played well in both of their matches so far and they will be keen to give themselves a fighting chances of qualification. They can threaten from wide areas and do enjoy playing patient football, but it may not be quite enough here.
Ghana v Uruguay = Ghana Draw No Bet
Uruguay have easily been one of the biggest disappointments of the 2022 World Cup with the South American side having failed to find the back of the net during their first two matches. They have picked up just a single point so far and it’s an uphill challenge to qualify from this point onwards. Diego Alonso’s side are defensively sound, however, he can’t seem to find the right balance in the final third and he’s tried a number of different combinations unsuccessfully so far.
Ghana have scored five and conceded five so far and have been on the most entertaining teams to follow in Qatar. They should be able find a way through here and potentially take something from this final group game.
Cameroon v Brazil = Brazil to WIN
Brazil are another side who have already booked their place in the round of 16 and although their performance against Switzerland was largely unconvincing, they remain the favourites to lift the trophy in Qatar. Without Neymar Jr, Brazil don’t look as efficient, although, their squad depth is immense and there are loads of potential match-winners who are yet to feature at this tournament.
Cameroon’s entertaining 3-3 with Serbia gives them a fighting chance of remaining in the tournament, however Rigobert Song’s side are unlikely to take anything from this encounter. Brazil are yet to face a shot on target and the Indomitable Lions are going to have to pull something special out of the bag to change that stat.
Serbia v Switzerland = Switzerland to WIN
These sides have differing approaches and it could make for an interesting 90 minutes. Serbia are excellent going forward, and netted three times against Cameroon on Monday. They could and probably should have netted a few more, however, they were wasteful in front of goal. In contrast, Switzerland cannot be described as dynamic in the final third, however, they are assured at the back and barely give the opposition a sniff.
The Swiss will look to control this game and dictate the pace and that could be enough to take all three points. Serbia have struggled at the back and began to make mistakes once Cameroon gained some momentum on Monday and they could struggle to beat this wily Swiss outfit.
