Japan v Croatia = Draw

Croatia battled their way to a goalless draw in order to secure their passage to the round of 16. Zlatko Dalic’s side have done reasonably well, although they did struggle to create meaningful opportunities against both Morocco and Belgium. At the other end of the field, their goalkeeper has managed to keep two clean sheets and they looked fairly well-organised against a determined Red Devils outfit last week. Although there have been some standout performances, particularly from Andrej Kramaric, Josko Gvardiol and Marko Livaja, they haven’t looked as efficient as 2018 and they may struggle to justify their short price of 11/10 here.

Japan are a curious side who beat Spain and Germany, yet somehow lost to Costa Rica. They have been much better in the second half and their ability to change formation and utilise their bench makes them extremely unpredictable. Either way, they won’t be easy to beat.

Brazil v South Korea = Both Teams to Score

Brazil have been defensively resolute throughout this tournament and have barely faced a shot on target. However, a much-changed Selecao conceded a 92nd minute goal to Vincent Aboubakar on Friday. Despite this defeat, they still finished top of Group G and will be pleased with their round of 16 draw. They haven’t been vintage so far, but they should be able to take it up another gear and with the potential return of Neymar, there is every chance of them finding the back of the net in this knock-out tie.

South Korea have been slightly unpredictable and chaotic in their approach, but they should give a good account of themselves here and are likely to attack from wide areas. They have carved out plenty of opportunities at this tournament and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them find a way past Allisson.
