Argentina v Saudi Arabia = Argentina to WIN & Both Teams to Score – No
There are no prizes for predicting that Argentina will win their opening group game, however Lionel Scaloni’s men are unlikely to encounter an easier fixture at this tournament. Saudi Arabia are perennial participants at this event, however, they seldom boast the quality to compete on the biggest stage.
Saudi Arabia have failed to score in seven of their last nine World Cup matches with North African duo Egypt and Tunisia being the only sides that they’ve managed to find the net against.
Argentina have ample quality going forward, however, they’re also strong at the back and should be able to keep their opponents at arm’s length.
Denmark v Tunisia = Denmark to WIN & Both Teams to Score – Yes
Denmark are being quietly considered as dark horses for the tournament and although they may not go all the way in Qatar, they are expected to reach the latter stages of the event. With Australia and France still to come, Kasper Hjulmund will see this as the Dane’s easiest assignment and he will be stressing the importance of getting off to a winning start.
Tunisia can be tricky opposition and the North African side netted in every single match at the 2018 World Cup despite being drawn alongside England and Belgium. They do have dangerous players and will look to exploit set-piece situations.
Denmark weren’t great at the 2018 World Cup, however, they have improved significantly and should have what it takes to squeeze three points out of this one.
